What is an off-premise caterer?
Second Street Catering is an off-premise catering company. We do not have a space to host events. We are always happy to help you find the perfect location for your event.
How much will my menu cost?
In general, we estimate most dinners with appetizers and dessert start in the low $30s per person. Cocktail parties start somewhere around $9 per guest, breakfast and lunches are in the $12 range.
What is the cost of rentals?
Rentals vary immensely, but if you plan on about $7 per guest you will be in the right range. Second Street Catering provides all items necessary for the buffet, including utensils for the buffet items and garnish, at no additional cost. Second Street Catering does not provide tables, chairs, tents, on-site grills, linens, china, glassware or flatware. We are happy to facilitate rentals for you. The charge for this service is 20 percent of the rental total. The client is responsible the cost of any breakage or missing items.
Can Second Street Catering serve alcohol?
Second Street Catering does not have a liquor license. We can not buy or sell alcohol. However, we can provide bartenders to serve beer, wine and liquor provided by the host. We offer hard bar and soft bar menus to help simplify bar service. These menus include all the garnish, mixers, bar tools, and ice that each bar requires.
Who will staff my event?
Second Street Catering has a highly trained staff of culinary professionals to handle all of your event needs. The charge per staff member is $20 per hour and $25 per hour per event captain and chef. The charge per staff member begins when the staff arrive on site. We generally like the staff to arrive two hours prior to the guests’ arrival (depending on the type of set up involved and the site). The staff departure time depends on the amount of breakdown required, bar service, type of meal and the size of the event. Seven to nine hours per staff member is standard for an event.
